Alex was born and raised in the City of Livermore, California. He’s had a love for the water since he was young and considered by most who knew him a ‘fish’. Alex took his love for the water a step further in High School when he began teaching swim lessons in Livermore and Dublin. While teaching others how to swim, Alex was able to improve his own swim skills as well as fell in love with teaching others how to swim.

After high school, he decided to move from Northern California to San Diego, which he now considers home. Alex is currently attending Mesa College and pursing a degree in Biology. He hopes to one day teach High School Bioglogy or work in the wildlife conservation field.

Being an instructor at Floaties has helped Alex achieve a greater level of swimming skills by allowing him to be in the water year round. He really enjoys watching the children grow as swimmers which you can see in Alex’s personality every day. Alex has a solid reputation here at Floaties of being a gentle , nurturing, funny yet very results oriented teacher.
