As well as one of the newer instructors of Floaties, Brandon is also new to San Diego. While growing up in snowy Buffalo, NY for almost 23 years, he began his swim teaching career at age 15 while lifeguarding at the local town pool. After many Red Cross certifications, developing mutual respect and patience with his students and almost 10 years of experience, he's become a seasoned veteran teaching infants to adults, as well as Junior Lifeguard and Instructor programs. Brandon made the long journey to San Diego with the U.S. NAVY in the Summer of 2007, being stationed at the Coronado Naval Air Station as a Meteorologist. After serving with the military and falling in love with this beautiful city's atmosphere, beaches and culture, he decided to become a permanent resident and continue in the joy of teaching children swimming and water safety.
