Tim Waddle grew up in the Portland Oregon area and began swimming lessons as a young child. His love for the water and all water sports was sparked early on and he spent his childhood and adolescent years learning as much as he could; including a CPR certification course and a Jr. Lifeguard certification program.
When Tim moved to Colorado after High School he realized how much he loved the water and wanted it to be part of his life. Living in a land locked state will reveal things like that. He was also surprised to find that not everyone grows up with the knowledge of swimming and pool safety and saw the negative affects that a lack of comfort in the water can hold over teens and young adults.
Once Tim decided to make the move to San Diego California and return to the water he decided to put his experience with children and love for the water together and make it his career. Having grown up with a large extended family young kids were never far away. Between babysitting, teaching church Sunday School, and being a camp counselor Tim has experienced first hand the significance one can have on the life of a child. So it was a simple decision to make the move both to San Diego and to Floaties Swim School.
Tim has been an instructor with Floaties since the summer of 2008. As of October 2009 Tim has taken on the administrative tasks of Pool Manager in addition to being one of Floaties top instructors. Tim is committed to making Floaties a place where every parent and child wants to come and a place where every child that walks through our doors is taught not only to love the water, but also to respect and be safe around the water.
